Brumby Care & Your Place

LCR provides ongoing support for elementary children at Brumby Elementary School located in Marietta.

Your Place – Resurrection has developed an after school program at Madison Hills and Grand Villas Apartments. Volunteers are needed to offer tutoring and homework assistance, prepare activities and provide snacks and beverages.
Circle of Friends Disabilities Ministry
Outreach Coordinators: Jim & Barb Kirk
Circle of Friends ministry offers fun events and fellowship for people with developmental disabilities such as mental retardation, cerebral palsy, autism and related disabilities. 2011 events will be hosted on January 9, March 13, May 1, July 10, September 11 and November 13.
Support Opportunities:
Program Organization – Planning activities and games
Friend Participation – Building relationships with program participations for youth 12 years and older as well as adults.
Food Preparation

As a member of the Covenant Churches, Resurrection contributes time and talents to build new homes for deserving Cobb County families. Our current build project for Must Ministries continues. Exterior painting is underway and HVAC installation is awaiting final plans. Watch our progress each week!

Resurrection delivers meals and dry goods to seniors with limited mobility and/or in need twice a month.

Ministries United for Service and Training (MUST) is a faith-based organization dedicated to providing services to people in crisis while maintaining their dignity. MUST offers emergency shelter, transitional housing, meals, groceries, clothing, job readiness and placement, substance abuse counseling, financial assistance, children's programs, community support groups, access to free health care and affordable housing.
Support Opportunities:
Food Donor – Donating nonperishable groceries and toiletries to the MUST food pantry. Donations are collected in the Family Life Center.
Food Preparers and Servers – Third Wednesday of each month. Recipe and ingredients are provided.

Project Linus is a non-profit organization that distributes handmade blankets to seriously ill or traumatized children in hospitals, shelters or social service agencies. Each year, LCR provides dozens of handmade blankets, quilts and afghans that provide a sense of security, warmth and comfort.
Support Opportunities:
Blanketeer – Creating handmade blankets for children in need. If you can knit, crochet, sew or tie knots – or can teach someone how – your talents are needed.
Blanket Donor – Donating new, handmade, washable blankets of all styles including quilts, tied comforters, fleece blankets, crocheted or knitted afghans and receiving blankets.
